The Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) has over 90-years of experience in generation, transmission, transformation, distribution, supply and sale of electricity. 

 

The Company supplies reliable and high-quality electricity, complies with leading service standards, maintaining   economic, commercial, and environmental principles.

 

IEC is a publicly traded company with virtually all of its shares traded on the Tel-Aviv and Singapore stock exchange and owned by the Israeli government. Employing 13,000 workers and providing service to more than 2.56M homes.

 

The IEC designed and constructed, and currently maintains and operates 17 power stations consisting of 63 generating units. Israel has an isolated stand-alone electricity grid, depending greatly on natural gas and imported coal, with all IEC generation units being dual fuel power plants to sustain additional reliability.

 

Over the last decade, the IEC invested more than $10B USD in developing the electricity sector in Israel. And by the end of 2014, the IEC’s total installed capacity totaled 14,000 MW, raising such investment through private markets in Israel and overseas.
